The most important letter that I can remember was a letter applying for a job. 我记得最重要的一封信是自己申请一份工作的信函。

I had seen this job advertised in a local newspaper, the evening editon. 我在当地报纸晚间版刊登的广告上看到这份工作。

It suited me very much and I was immediately attracted to it. 它非常适合我,所以我立刻被吸引了。

It said to apply in writing, giving details of your experience, your education and when you were available，and you had to give the names and contacts of two references. 它要求进行书面申请,提供经验,受教育程度及到岗时间等等细节,而且你必须填写两个紧急联系人的名字和号码。

I was qualified for the job and eager to get it. 我自己觉得能胜任,渴望得到这份工作。

When I was finished writing I was pretty satisfied and a little pleased, posted it off to the address given and waited! 当我写完非常满意和高兴,投到要求的地址后就只剩下等待!

Thankfully, before I sweated too much, I got a letter after a couple of days, saying they wanted me to come in for interview. 谢天谢地,就在我忐忑不安等待的几天之后就收到了一封信,表示他们想让我去面试。

I was very pleased to go for the interview and got the job, my first job! 我非常高兴去面试并得到了那份工作,我的第一份工作!

The most important letter, I’d say ,is my first love letter.It took me several days to finish the letter. I had too many things in my mind to tell her that how deeply I loved her. After thinking over and over, I wrote down all the most important things and cut it down to a piece of paper. I wrote that I was obsessed by her beauty, kindness, softness and charming eyes, and that I would devote all my heart to her if she agreed to be my girl friend. Every single word was full of love and every sentence was polished to be perfect.That moment came at last—she said to me “You are a pretty good boy, I like you too”. And she became my girl friend and my new life began.
