Brian：May I come in?

Catherine：Come in，please.

凯瑟琳：请进。

Brian：Good morning，madam，I am Brian Cram，I′ve come to apply for theposition as computer engineer at your firm.

Catherine：Oh，I see. Please take a seat. I′m Catherine Daly. Let′s begin. Please tell me something about yourself.

Brian：What do you want to know?

Catherine：The usual，you know something about your background，experience and any personal things that you feel is pertinent.

Brian：Well，I was born in Chicago and went to school there，right up through college. My father is a doctor，and my mother is a mathematician.

Catherine：Sound as if you come from a professional family.

Catherine：What made you decide to get into computer?

Brian：Oh，nothing in particular，I guess. I always like mathematics and tinkering with machines.

Catherine：What specialized courses did you take?

Brian：The specialized courses I completed include computer science，systemsdesign and analysis，operation systems，systems management，PASCAL programming，COBOL programming and DBASE programming.

Catherine：Now what about your experience?How long have you been working with computers?

Brian：More than five years now. After I did my engineering degree，I began to specialize in computer technology and I even had my own company for a while.

Catherine：It certainly sounds impressive. Where are you working now?

Catherine：Why do you decide to choose our firm?
