Q：How have you used, or how will you use, technology in the classroom?

A：I was lucky to have one of the first"Smart Boards"in my classroom. The children were immediately engaged, and eager to explore the possibilities being offered.We learned together just what an amazing teaching tool it could be.

Q：Describe your discipline philosophy.

A："The purpose of discipline is to facilitate learning and foster better relationships and respect between the students. It is also intended to help students become more self-directed, self-disciplined and accountable for their behavior.I have found that students respond poorly to forceful discipline but well to discipline that is helpful.My philosophy is to provide clear limits and rules that are communicated to the students so that they have a clear understanding of what is expected of them.The rules are discussed and agreed upon to encourage accountability from the students.

纪律的目的是为了促进学习，培养与学生间良好的关系和尊敬。同时也是为了帮助学生成为一个自主自律的人，对自己的言行负责任。我发现，学生对强制性纪律的反响不太好，而是更喜欢有助于他们成长的纪律。我的方法是规定清楚的限制和规则，并和学生沟通好，这样他们就能够清楚的知道自己应该怎样做。规则会与学生们进行讨论来定制，并要得到他们的同意，这样才能让他们对自己的言行负责。
