A：Hey,Mike! Do you have an idol or something?

B：Hmm...I used to be crazy about Michael Jackson.But,not really now.What about you?

A：Well,pretty much tHe'same.I loved a whole bunch of stars.But I'm losing interest now.Is that good or bad?

B：Neither.People are changing.So are your idols.And you may have no idol but yourself.You never know!

A：You think so? In my opinion,people more mature and sound Don't take idols readily.

B：Probably.But That's not always the case.A scientist may have a sportsman as an idol.You cannot say that he doesn t have a sound mind.

A：Sounds reasonable.The problem is that many fans really go crazy in worshipping their idols.It is a waste of time and money!

B：Maybe It's a waste,but It's a necessary waste.Where there is needs,there is market.The “idol industry”meets the entertainment or emotional needs of some people.

A：OK.We ve got to think it over.It's a difficult problem.

B：Sure it is.We'll become philosophers after that.
