Multifarious positive effects can be put down behind this happening. First and foremost, youthful generation plays a phenomenal role to flourish the progress of a nation. For example, majority of young people are expected to learn professional skills related to science, engineering, medical, technology, sports and so on. As a result, a country will be enriched with a massive number of prodigious talented people who could contribute remarkably at jobs to ensure the development of their nation. Besides this, advancement strides only in the presence of youngsters. To be specific, young blood is energetic, agile, creative and adaptive who welcome new changes, adjust nicely and can introduce innovative ideas for betterment of living standard. Hence, a nation is supposed to be more advanced than others.

Moreover, youngsters are well educated, advanced and conscious about healthy living standard. Thence, they could be made willing to participate in social welfare activities such as planting more trees, promoting cleanliness, saving wild life, using biodegradable materials so on to evolve pleasant ecological conditions and superior lifestyle. On the contrary, it has thorny side too.

To begin with, in many thriving regions, employment sources are less due to deprivation of industries and other commercial sectors. Therefore, increasingly number of young people is leading to lack of job opportunities in such areas. Furthermore, the cultural heritage of a nation may lose its significance. To be specific, unlike other age groups, youthful generation has tendency to develop their own ways of living and attitudes rather than following traditional values. Thus, individuality of a culture will be at the low ebb. All of above, generation gap will spread its roots on account of imbalanced ratio of different age groups. Hence, misunderstandings and disputes might be the order of the day between young and late adulthood.

Compared to the aging of population, will it be much easier to make the conclusion that the increase of those aged 15 and younger has all positive effects on the country? Apparently not, as both positive and negative influence can be seen at present and will be expected in the future.

Such an increase in population can lead to more juvenile delinquency in society. It is a fact universally acknowledged, that this population from young children to teenagers requires not only care but also attention from their parents. However, when both of their parents take on the role as the breadwinners in most countries, having no time to take care of them, they as a matter of fact feel abandoned or even rejected. With such negative feeling, they usually go to their peer groups. Ironically, only coming to a group with many others suffering a worse and more terrible situation will they take more comfort than in a positive group. Then, it is obvious that these children resort to many bad habits, such as smoking, drinking alcohol and so forth.

However, it does not seem to be all negative, meaning that positive effects can be projected in the coming future, as they grow up. With this increase in the country, there will be more and more young adults with professional expertise coming into social construction and national development. As we know, children are the future of a country. Besides, given that advances in technology have already improved medical condition and treatment to make human longevity, many countries now are beginning to suffer many social problems due to the aging of population. Therefore, the increase of this population can be seen as the key to alleviating the negative influence in the future, for instance, the shortage of main workforce.

To recapitulate, it is impossible to make a clear judgment on this charge in population. With this increase, juvenile crime rises in society as the result of emotional neglect by many parents, while it is estimated to mitigate many social issues brought by the aging of population.

Otherwise, the likelihood of rising unemployment proportions would be inevitable, decimating the national economy.

In conclusion, an increasing percentage of the young population could be overwhelmingly fraught with many pitfalls in both current and future measures regardless of an upside of a bigger workforce. Official authorities could undertake some initiatives controlling the fertility rate to balance the population for the long-term growth.
