Hugh:Could you make offers for the items listed in your catalog?

Larry:Yes.Here is the price list.But the prices are subject to our final confirmation.

休:目录中所列的商品你们能报价吗?

拉里:能。这是价格单,但是这些价格以我方最后的确认为准。

Larry:What's the quantity you're likely to take?

Hugh:200 tons for a start.

拉里:你想要订多少?

休:先订200吨。

Larry:And the port of destination?

Hugh:Washington.

拉里:目的港是哪里?

休:华盛顿。

Hugh:How long will you leave your offer open?

Larry:It's valid for seven days.Your early reply will be highly appreciated.

休:报价有效期多长?

Larry:How soon do you want the goods to be deliver-ed?

Hugh:Early April.

休:4月初。

Larry:Did you receive our inquiry sheets yet?

Hugh:Yes,and I'm checking it out.

Larry:I'm sorry to say that the price you quote is too high.

Hugh:We have done a lot of business with other custo-mers at this price.

Larry:Would it be possible to lower the price any?

Hugh:While we appreciate your cooperation,we regret to say that we can't reduce our price any fur-ther.

Larry:I understand all your prices are on CIF basis.We'd rather have you quote us FOB price.

Hugh:Okay,we'll let you know the FOB price as soon as possible.

拉里:你方报的是到岸价,希望能给我们报船上交货价。

休:好的,我们会尽快让你知道离岸价的。

Larry:When can I have your firm CIF price,that is to say,the final offer?

Hugh:We'll have it worked out by this evening and let you have it tomorrow morning.

拉里:我什么时候能得到你们公司的实盘到案价格,也就是说,最后的报价?

休:我们将在今晚制定出来,明天早上就可以给你了。
