Lu Xiaoman (September, 1903—April, 1965) was an early 20th-century Chinese painter. She was given the name of Mel (eyebrow, a metaphor for feminine beauty in Chinese), later she changed her name to Xiaoman. She studied under painters such as Liu Haisu, Chen Banding and He Tianjian. She was also known for acting and writing, though perhaps she was better known for her very passionate and public relationship with Xu Zhimo.

陆小曼(1903年9月—1965年4月)是20世纪初期的中国画家。她之前名字为眉(眉毛，是中国对美女的比喻说法)，之后改名为小曼。她师承的画家有刘海粟、陈半丁和贺天健。陆小曼的表演和写作能力也很出名，尽管她和徐志摩轰轰烈烈的公开恋情更为人所知。

Lu was born in Shanghai in 1903 and was raised in Changzhou. Lu was educated in Beijing Female's Normal school when she was 7 years old. She attended Beijing Girls' High school at the age of 9 and finished at 14. Then she went to Beijing Sacred Heart School.

Lu Xiaoman was employed by Gu Weijun, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Northern Government. as a Trade Interpreter. In 1922, she married Wang Geng but they divorced soon after their marriage. Then she was in a relationship with Xu Zhimo, which caused a great stir. It was consider radical even among China's progressives. After the marriage, the two lived happily for a period of time. With the help and support of Xiaoman, Zhimo produced a lot of poems and published several poem collections such as "Zhimo's poems" and "a night at Feilengcui"

陆小曼作为商务口译员受雇于时任北洋政府外交总长的顾维钧。1922年和王赓结婚，但是很快就以离婚告终。之后，她与徐志摩相爱，在他们结婚时，在社会上引起了轩然大波，因为当时两个离了婚的人再婚，就是在中国进步人士的眼中也相当的激进。婚后，他们两个过着幸福的生活。在小曼的支持帮助下，徐志摩创做了许多诗歌，发表了几部诗集，例如《志摩的诗》和《翡冷翠的一夜》。

However, their happiness did not last for a long time, as Xiaoman spent money like water. Though Zhimo was a professor in two famous universities in China, his income was not enough for Xiaoman. He had to fly from one province to another province at great expense of his life. After Zhimo's death, Xiaoman gradually corrected her bad habits and started to get Zhimo's works published. She died in 1965.
